Mother Nature Reclaims A Fishing Village In China And The Results Are Breath Taking

Whenever new pictures arise of man made structures untouched for years, it is nearly impossible to look away. Some may view these photos as haunting and eerie, while others marvel in the splendid glory of Mother Nature. These buildings located on the Shengsi Islands in China, are covered from top to
bottom in lush greenery which allow them to seamlessly blend in with their surroundings. You might think this is some sort of pilot for an Anime but this is real life. The plants have reclaimed their stake on the land with the help of the Yangtze River and we are left in awe.

You can bet that this phenomenon has happened in other places in the world but there is something very special about this quaint fishing village. Being surrounded by this much natural vegetation is extremely peaceful and allows for a catharsis surrounding the anxiety of the modern world. Photographer Tang Yuhong takes us on a journey through a place frozen in time. An abandoned cityscape is something to be marveled but it leaves one question, what happened to this village?
