The rented BMW Broderick was driving crossed into the wrong lane and collided head-on with a Volvo driven by Anna Gallagher, who was with her mother. Both killed instantly in the accident. Oscar Pistorious Oscar Pistorious made headlines when he became the first amputee to win an able-bodied world track medal. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, Pistorius became the first double leg amputee to participate in the Olympics and won two gold medals. He served as an inspiration to people all over the world, until he shot and killed his girlfriend on Valentine’s Day in 2013. Pistorious shot her through the bathroom door during an argument. he is serving a 5 year jail sentence

Vince Neil Motley Crue front man Vince Neil, like most rock stars had a drug and alcohol problem. One night he had been partying all day when he hit an oncoming vehicle and killed fellow musician Nicholas “Razzle” Dingley. The crash also cause brain damage to two people in the other car involved in the collision. His blood alcohol level was .17, but he only served 15 days in jail. He lives with the guilt of killing his friend to this day.

Keith Moon The Who drummer Keith Moon was known for his eccentric playing style on stage. Off stage he was known for his self-destructive behavior. Moon developed a reputation for smashing his kit on stage and destroying hotel rooms on tour. His reckless behavior cost someone close to him their life. Accidentally, Moon hit his friend and bodyguard, Neil Boland, with his car. He was charged with Boland’s death and for a DUI.

Rebecca Gayheart Rebecca Gayheart is an actress who has appeared in television shows like Beverly Hills 90210, Nip Tuck and in a popular 90s Noxema commercial. Gayheart was driving in Los Angeles when she struck a 9-year-old, Jorge Cruz, as he crossed the street. He died the next day. She pled no contest to vehicular manslaughter and received three years of probation and 750 hours’ community service.

Phil Spector  Phil Spector was a record producer, songwriter, and the originator of the Wall of Sound production method. He was responsible for many of the successful girl groups in the 60s and 25 top 40 hits during that time. Spector was convicted of second-degree murder when he killed actress Lana Clarkson. Spector said that it was an “accidental suicide” but the prosecutor and judge did not see it that way. Spector was sentenced to 19 years to life.

What you may or may not know is that Lewis killed his 81-year-old landlady and her cat. Lewis then fell or jumped from the roof and died. He’d previously struggled with substance abuse, but no drugs were found in his system at the time of death. It was mentioned that he may have suffered from psychiatric illness.

When Ward exited his car he stormed on to the track as Stewart came back around. Stewart struck Ward with his car. Ward died a short time later from “massive blunt trauma.” Stewart was later cleared of any wrongdoing.

Jayson Williams Former NBA player Jayson Williams accidentally shot and killed his limousine driver while playing with a gun. While giving a tour of his mansion in Alexandria Township, New Jersey, Williams was playing with his shotgun when it fired and killed Costas “Gus” Christofi. Williams pled guilty to aggravated assault. He served an 18 month prison sentence and was released in April 2012.
